In today’s days, Tata Group pays 2.25% of India’s total tax. there are 100+ operating companies under Tata Group and 29 publicly-listed with a combined market capitalization of 23.6 lakh crore as of march 2022. it is India’s largest conglomerate company, with products and services in over 150 countries, and operations in 100 countries across six continents. It is also India’s 3rd largest employer. Tata Group has helped to establish and finance numerous research, educational and cultural institutes in India. The Tata Group has lead multiple industries in India and remains a market leader in most of it.

India became the fourth largest country in the world by the valuation of its automotive industry in which Tata also contributes a Major role in it. The major company of Tata in automobile sector is Tata Motors. It is an Indian multinational automotive manufacturing company with a strong global network of subsidiaries and associate companies. After that Tata bought two prestigious British car brands Land Rover and Jaguar. Tata Motors acquired the brands from Ford in 2008, merging them into a single company in 2013.

Tata Consumer Products Limited is an Indian fast-moving consumer goods company and a part of the Tata Group. Tata started the salt business from 1983, which we know as Tata Salt as the first national branded salt of India. he started the business of salt and now he is leading in it and like this Tata Consumer Products is also involved in tea and leading in them in the name of Tata Tea. Over 35 years ago, Tata Tea began its journey when packaged tea market in India was dominated by a large player with over 70% of the market share. 

Tata Group bought The Tetley Group in February 2000, for 271 million pound. it was one of the largest foreign acquisition by an Indian company at that time.

Not everyone know that Tata Group has a partnership with Starbucks. In 2012, Starbucks announced a 50:50 joint venture with Tata Global Beverages, called Tata Starbucks Ltd. which currently operates outlets branded “Starbucks, A Tata Alliance” in India.

Voltas Limited is an Indian multinational home appliances company that acquired by Tata on 6th September, 1954. The Company is jointly promoted by Switzerlands Volkart Brothers and Indias Tata Sons Pvt Ltd.
