Why is India launching Chandrayaan 3 in 2023?
On 14th July,2023 at 2:35 PM ISRO launched his Chandrayaan-3. This is ISRO’s most challenging mission to date. The cost of this mission is Rs.615 crores. Chandrayaan-3 is important not only for India’s space program but also for India’s economy because in 2008 through Chandrayaan-1 we definitely reached the moon but it was a Moon Impact Probe that did a hard landing. Four Years Ago, the main objective of Chandrayaan-2 was to execute a soft landing on the moon. Chandrayaan’s launch was successful but landing despite being only half a kilometer away from the surface of the moon. we could not land due to a software glitch. The main plan of Vikram Rover was to study the moon’s surface for 14 days and send us information, about the moon but the mission was left incomplete due to the failure of communication devices. Now Chandrayaan-3 wants to improve the mistakes of Chandrayaan-1 and Chandrayaan-2. This is a golden opportunity for India to show our improved technology to the world. Then we can take up crucial international space projects like NASA is doing projects today and earning a huge sum of money. We can take on a few projects too.

There is one more important reason to launch Chandrayaan 3 in 2023
The main reason is the LVM3 (Launch Vehicle Mark) launch vehicle, which is capable of carrying 30% more weight than our first GSLV Mark 2 (Geosynchronous Satellite launch vehicle). it means the success of this launch vehicle is also important for India because with this vehicle we can send heavier payloads into space, We will be able to prove our capabilities to the world. We launched Chandrayaan-2 for approximately Rs. 870 crores. But now we have become more efficient, and the total budget of Chandrayaan-3 is going to be approx Rs. 615 crores.
